SEMINAR
(in collaboration with RETE)
RETE, an international association for collaboration between ports and cities, wishes to contribute to this Biennial focused on Landscape, because in the context of the contemporary city and the landscape surrounding it and connecting it with other cities, the issues of the relationship between the port and the city can be considered a decisive chapter in the definition of physical settlements of greater quality and socio-economic and cultural frameworks more in consonance with the expectations of the people who live and work in these areas.
The main issue addressed by the seminar, touching on the transformations of the contemporary portscape, seen from the multidisciplinary framework of this second Biennial, is organised according to various articulations that can illustrate the modifications currently taking place in port areas and in their relationship with cities and surrounding territories.
