André and Jacqueline Bretón’s trip to Tenerife in 1935 was recorded in Domingo Pérez Minik’s retina in an image of Jacqueline bathing in the black sandy beaches of Martianez. An apparently trivial image that holds the keys to the creative process in the Canaries in the last eighty years. The island territory as an object of reflection and a desire to transcend over and above geographical limits. Guillermo Ríos takes these premises to create a 3” loop deciphering these guidelines.
By recovering landscape painting through photography, Richter puts to the test the potential of such a traditional genre as landscape On various journeys, some of them to the Canaries, he captures images that he later returns to in his studio.
