The photography of Vilariño has the ability of capturing the fragility of spaces. The sublime is such to the extent that the spectator seems to hold his breath so as to not rupture the fragile equilibrium that is sustained despite an apparent solidity. Vilariño works at dawn, in that small time window that seems to halt everything.

During the rainy season the area of Perry Lake floods, and it can only be reached by boat. The Rural Studio projects has set up a series of passageways and pavilions to allow visiting and enjoying year-round a changing and difficult to access space, and does so with minimal interventions. The different facilities, from the rest rooms to the picnic area, create a continuous space that integrates seamlessly in the wooded area.

On a cut-down tree, Batista carves a cut-down forest, a “loop” that plays with scales and contradictions. His fascination with the woods, their use and abuse, is expressed in this proposal.

Scenes from the Spanish Civil War are developed over a series of 18th century etchings. The romantic image of the forest is countered with the vision of what the forest hides, the arcadia of the romantics clashes with reality when it takes on multiple meanings.

Project that reacts to changes in time and movement. The building shows two different identities: it is both a wide wall and a small tower. The big scale is experienced at a speed of 120 km/h from the highway, while the small scale is experienced at walking speed from the city center.
The building is a red wall, whose living surface changes according to the light. The facade is clad in vertical steel strips, which are attached at an angle of ten degrees. During the day, sunlight touches on the corten steel skin, while at night the building is lit from the inside. The warm red tone of the building refers to the red brick industrial buildings that are present in the area.

The notion of using woods as a means to control the territory is foreign to the romanticized Western conception of this terrain. Ndary Lô speaks of the woods as the border between the desert and inhabited areas, almost as a desperate attempt to impede the advance of the sand.

Two images of the forest offer differentiated visions of it, the idea of a space for reflection and contemplation apparently enters into conflict with the idea of the forest as an extension of the city park.
