In a series of ambiguous landscapes and characters Rosefeldt plays with uncovering the inner workings of tourism and of immigration. With a succession of twists that show what they apparently are and finally are not, they produce an evocative, even comic, yet unrelentingly cruel chronicle of a world of appearances that sustains an economy and society on the edge of the abyss
